Past Men's Events

Thursday, December 10th, the guys got together for some delicious food and a time of fellowship as well as tackling that ever important, but often difficult, job of getting their Christmas shopping done in time. 

At the Tony Dungy's All-Pro Dad Day, First Baptist Church of Beech Grove Dads and their kids had a chance to play some football on the Colts' practice field. They were hosted by the Colts' Head Coach, Jim Caldwell, and one of the Assistant Coaches, Clyde Christensen. The guys and the children got to meet some of the football players as well.

During September and October the men met at Pastor Gabe's house on Tuesday evenings to study the Bible and work toward following a path of Godliness, no matter what the cost. They used R. Kent Hughes's book Disciplines of a Godly Man. They were able to develop a closer relationship to God and deeper friendship amongst themselves through reading Scripture, praying, and enjoying fellowship.  Click on the cover of the book below to read an exerpt of it.
